Enhance Your Taste Experience

At 56Bite, we bring you the authentic taste of Bihar’s beloved sweet – Thekua – handmade in small batches with pure jaggery, premium ingredients, and zero preservatives. Every bite carries the warmth of home cooking and the richness of tradition, delivered fresh to your doorstep.

Thekua is one of Bihar’s most iconic traditional sweets, with roots tracing back hundreds of years. Deeply tied to Chhath Puja, it’s offered to the Sun God as a prasad and shared among family and community. Traditionally made with whole wheat flour, jaggery, and ghee, Thekua is hand-shaped — often with carved wooden moulds — and deep-fried until golden. Its long shelf life made it a travel-friendly snack for farmers, traders, and pilgrims, long before packaged foods existed. Over generations, Thekua has moved from being a festive ritual to an everyday treat, cherished for its simplicity, wholesome ingredients, and nostalgic flavor.

Discover New Flavors

At 56Bite, “Discover New Flavors” isn’t just a tagline – it’s our promise. We take the humble, traditional Thekua and give it fresh twists while staying true to its roots. From the classic wheat-and-jaggery blend to unique sooji and maida variations, every bite is a journey through heritage with a dash of innovation.
